Prisoners were innocent

George W. Bush 'knew Guantanamo prisoners were innocent'

And what do we say about those who sold their innocent neighbors, brothers and sisters in Islam to be imprisoned for life in exchange for money? Are we still surprised at the state of this Ummah? We are slaves because that is what we are fit for. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon.

George W. Bush 'knew Guantanamo prisoners were innocent'

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld covered up that hundreds of innocent men were sent to the Guantánamo Bay prison camp because they feared that releasing them would harm the push for war in Iraq and the broader War on Terror, according to a new document obtained by The Times.

The accusations were made by Lawrence Wilkerson, a top aide to Colin Powell, the former Republican Secretary of State, in a signed declaration to support a lawsuit filed by a Guantánamo detainee. It is the first time that such allegations have been made by a senior member of the Bush Administration.

Colonel Wilkerson, who was General Powells chief of staff when he ran the State Department, was most critical of Mr Cheney and Mr Rumsfeld. He claimed that the former Vice-President and Defence Secretary knew that the majority of the initial 742 detainees sent to Guantánamo in 2002 were innocent but believed that it was politically impossible to release them.

General Powell, who left the Bush Administration in 2005, angry about the misinformation that he unwittingly gave the world when he made the case for the invasion of Iraq at the UN, is understood to have backed Colonel Wilkersons declaration.

Colonel Wilkerson, a long-time critic of the Bush Administrations approach to counter-terrorism and the war in Iraq, claimed that the majority of detainees children as young as 12 and men as old as 93, he said never saw a US soldier when they were captured. He said that many were turned over by Afghans and Pakistanis for up to $5,000. Little or no evidence was produced as to why they had been taken.

He also claimed that one reason Mr Cheney and Mr Rumsfeld did not want the innocent detainees released was because the detention efforts would be revealed as the incredibly confused operation that they were. This was not acceptable to the Administration and would have been severely detrimental to the leadership at DoD [Mr Rumsfeld at the Defence Department].

Referring to Mr Cheney, Colonel Wilkerson, who served 31 years in the US Army, asserted: He had absolutely no concern that the vast majority of Guantánamo detainees were innocent ... If hundreds of innocent individuals had to suffer in order to detain a handful of hardcore terrorists, so be it.

He alleged that for Mr Cheney and Mr Rumsfeld innocent people languishing in Guantánamo for years was justified by the broader War on Terror and the small number of terrorists who were responsible for the September 11 attacks.

He added: I discussed the issue of the Guantánamo detainees with Secretary Powell. I learnt that it was his view that it was not just Vice-President Cheney and Secretary Rumsfeld, but also President Bush who was involved in all of the Guantánamo decision making.

Mr Cheney and Mr Rumsfeld, Colonel Wilkerson said, deemed the incarceration of innocent men acceptable if some genuine militants were captured, leading to a better intelligence picture of Iraq at a time when the Bush Administration was desperate to find a link between Saddam Hussein and 9/11, thus justifying the Administrations plans for war with that country.

He signed the declaration in support of Adel Hassan Hamad, a Sudanese man who was held at Guantánamo Bay from March 2003 until December 2007. Mr Hamad claims that he was tortured by US agents while in custody and yesterday filed a damages action against a list of American officials.

Defenders of Guantánamo said that detainees began to be released as early as September 2002, nine months after the first prisoners were sent to the jail at the US naval base in Cuba. By the time Mr Bush left office more than 530 detainees had been freed.

A spokesman for Mr Bush said of Colonel Wilkersons allegations: We are not going to have any comment on that. A former associate to Mr Rumsfeld said that Mr Wilkerson's assertions were completely untrue.

The associate said the former Defence Secretary had worked harder than anyone to get detainees released and worked assiduously to keep the prison population as small as possible. Mr Cheneys office did not respond.

There are currently about 180 detainees left in the facility.

It was not a chemical plant, nor a nuclear facility, nor a manufacturer of weapons of mass destruction. But almost all the rubble of the entirely destroyed factory was covered in white, with white chunks everywhere. These were pieces of cheese, butter and yoghurt -- some of the products made by the Dalloul dairy factory in southern Gaza City. Israeli warplanes bombed the factory shortly after midnight last Thursday through Friday night, 1-2 April, leaving the building, all its equipment and the distribution van completely destroyed

For the past three years, the Israeli human rights NGO, B’Tselem, has been providing cameras and training to young Palestinians as part of its "Shooting Back" project – a bid to document and collect hard video evidence of abuses and misconduct by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Today, there are 150 cameras all over the West Bank and Gaza for this purpose and most of the footage captured – some 1,500 hours so far – ends up on the floor-to-ceiling archive shelves in the Jerusalem office of Yoav Gross who directs the NGO’s video project

In the near end of the world, Alcohol will be common

Pouring out araqi, illegal gin, into plastic containers

By Lucy Fleming
BBC News, Khartoum

Three Sudanese men sit on the edge of a bed and watch intently as a clear spirit glugs into a four-litre container.

This is an Islamic country if you're caught drinking or they smell alcohol, you will be lashed
An araqi buyer

"A little more - it's not quite at the top," one of them instructs the sisters who are pouring the illegal date-gin known as "araqi".

The men are anxious not to be photographed in this small mud-walled home, where chickens are pecking the dirt floor, on the outskirts of Sudan's capital, Khartoum.

"This is an Islamic country - if you're caught drinking or they smell alcohol, you will be lashed," one of them explains. Forty lashes and a fine is the usual Sharia punishment.

Once the men are satisfied the carton is full, they hand over 30 Sudanese pounds (SDG) (about $13, £9).

"They are regular customers; they come about once a week," one of the sisters says after they leave.

"All of our customers are men and Arab, mainly Arab," she adds.

She and her sisters - who range in age from 15 to 22 - work with their mother brewing araqi each evening, as the sun sets.

'Scared'

It has been a fairly lucrative way to make money since Sharia was introduced in 1983 - under then-President Jaafar Numeiri, and often women who have fled conflict in Sudan's non-Arab south and Darfur are the illegal brewers in the capital.

An illegal alcohol brewer in Khartoum counting money
We have to pay between 150 SDG and 250 SDG if we're caught
Illegal brewer

The spirit, which is usually drunk neat, is made from fermented dates of which there is a plentiful supply in Sudan.

"Since we were conscious, our mother has been making it," the oldest sister explains.

The dates are mixed with water and yeast and left to ferment for three days. Afterwards the liquid is distilled, producing about eight litres of spirit a night.

The family sells about four - sometimes eight - two-litre bottles a day.

Each night, the girls pack up the three stills and bury the small drums of alcohol outside the property.

"The police come about two times a week to check for alcohol," say the sisters, who sit beside each other on the bed answering questions.

"We're scared of them. But if they find something outside the house they can't pin it on us," they say, adding that they have eight eight-litre cartons of araqi buried at present and three small drums of fermenting dates.

The last police visit was the day before, but it was a month ago that their mother was caught brewing.

"We have to pay between 150 SDG and 250 SDG if we're caught."

An araqi drinker in Khartoum
Many Sudanese believe drinking alcohol is part of their culture

This could change now President Omar al-Bashir has been re-elected. During his campaign last month he warned that alcohol-brewers should be whipped too.

My father, my uncles - they do their prayers and they drink
Maysara, araqi drinker

It is believed many in the police have been happy to allow the brewing to continue as they profit from fines and confiscated alcohol.

And following the 2005 peace deal between the mainly Muslim north and the south where the majority is Christian or follow traditional religions, Sharia law is not supposed to be applied to non-Muslims living in the capital.

Meanwhile many Muslim Sudanese object to a zero-tolerance towards alcohol, saying it is not against their Sufi culture to drink.

"I know people who are Muslim - they drink," says Maysara, a regular customer who acts as my translator.

"My father, my uncles - they do their prayers and they drink," he says, adding that he knows some alcohol-brewers from Darfur who drink locally-brewed wine and beer.

"They do Ramadan and they sell alcohol," he says.

Maysara has been caught by police several times - and sentenced to about 160 lashes in total. The last time he was let off after he paid a bribe.

"I like it, I like drinking - why should I be deprived of drinking?" he asks defiantly - and insists that his photo is taken.

"It's always possible to be caught, but when I come here I don't worry because I know that I have never seen any problem here," he says.

Dates for sale in Khartoum
Dates are in plentiful supply and used to make wine and gin

And it also pays to buy the alcohol direct.

"The quality from the source is better because it's not mixed with water," he says.

"Most people who sell in Khartoum they dilute what they buy from here."

The third car of the day that draws up is more expensive than the others. The three men - two dressed in long white tunics, one in a pair of jeans - are from Khartoum's upmarket neighbourhood of Riyadh.

They sit down on the bed, accept some date wine and make small-talk before putting in their order.

But it is not only the middle-class from the capital who make up the clientele - brick makers along the Nile are some of the best clients, one of the sisters says.

And should Sudan become a secular state, the date-gin brewers believe it would not affect their trade.

"We can compete - no problem," the sisters say.

Maysara agrees that it is not only its affordability that makes araqi appealing - whisky can easily be found in the capital for about $50 a bottle.

The taste of araqi is "unbelievable", he says - with a great burst of laughter.

Press Release - The Freedom Flotilla Sails to Gaza in May

The Freedom Flotilla Sails to Gaza in May

(London, UK) On May 24, 2010, the Freedom Flotilla sets sail for Gaza determined to, once again, challenge Israel’s blockade of 1.5 million Palestinians trapped in an open-air prison. Under the coordination of the Free Gaza Movement, numerous human rights organizations, including the Turkish Relief Foundation (IHH), the Perdana Global Peace Organization from Malaysia, the European Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza, and the Swedish and Greek Boat to Gaza initiatives will send three cargo ships loaded with reconstruction, medical and educational supplies. At least five passenger boats with over 600 people on board will accompany the cargo ships.

These passengers include members of Parliament from around the world, U.N., human rights and trade union activists, as well as journalists who will document the largest coordinated effort to directly confront Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza and take in basic supplies.

Said Mary Hughes Thompson, one of Free Gaza’s co-founders, “Although we were happy with the first trips, it was bitter-sweet, knowing that our small boats and symbolic amounts of relief paled in comparison to what was really needed in Gaza. Now, we finally feel we are helping to organize a powerful action, one with the potential to translate into a sustained campaign of much more effective challenges to Israel's brutal siege.”

In the past three months, Israel has limited fuel to run the power station. Much of Gaza is often in darkness. There are just enough trucks coming in to barely prevent total starvation, and Egypt, complicit with the Israeli-US policy of blockading Palestinians, is building an underground steel wall to prevent people in Gaza from bringing in vitally needed supplies through tunnels.

A cargo ship sponsored by the people of Malaysia and loaded with cargo donated from citizens of Ireland, Scotland, and Britain as well as thousands around the world, will depart from Ireland the second week of May. When it reaches the Mediterranean, she will be joined by the other boats and begin the journey to Gaza.

Dr. Mona El-Farra, Deputy Director of the Union of Health Work Committees in Gaza was pleased to hear we are coming back.  “When the two boats from Free Gaza entered the harbor in 2008, it was like a dream, it was historic. And all great things start with some dreamers who made it true. For us in Gaza, the dream of freedom will not be lost, and we welcome this next voyage with open hearts.”

The Free Gaza Movement along with the partners listed above, are the organizers of this flotilla. However, dozens of organizations and tens of thousands of people around the world are taking part to make this voyage a success.  www.freegaza.org

Kindly endorse the campaign against Unique Identification Number (UID), government of India's effort to give a number to every Indian citizen like they do to cattle before they are led to the slaughter house. It's kind of racial profiling which can be abused in a country like India where they use the census data to butcher people in riots ( remember the Gujarat pogrom). It's a violation of one's privacy, human rights and a threat to democracy. And they are tagging it with the ongoing census. There is a great threat that the information collected through census can be passed onto the UID authority, which is headed by a corporate CEO. It can be easily stated that it's not the Maoists the 'greatest internal threat' to Indian democracy, but the UID is. Please endorse this statement and pass it on to your friends and relatives who value Indian democracy. Please endorse the statement by clicking he    re

We, representatives of people’ movements, mass organizations, institutions and concerned individuals including all the undersigned strongly oppose the potential tracking and profiling based techno-governance tools such as the Unique Identification number (UID) by the Government of India and the manner in which legitimate democratic processes have been undermined through this.

The proposed UID project seems to be perched on an anti-people perspective and violates a number of basic rights guaranteed under Part III of the Constitution of India including Articles 14, 15, 17, 19 and 21 viz., the Rights to equality, dignity, privacy, expression and the right not to be discriminated against, The project seems to be aimed at profiling people by pooling in biometric and retinal data pertaining to an individual and could be potentially discriminatory in a country where caste identity is the most predominant socio-political marker. Further, it is a travesty on the dignity and privacy of individuals. At another level, given the fact that more than one third of our population live below the substantial level called “poverty line” and without literacy & numeracy, a large section of our population would find itself unable to handle this number in a meaningful way and thus face the danger of virtually stripped of their citizenship and thereby the very legitimacy of their existence on the land of this country.

This project which has been launched at a budgeted cost of INR 1270 Crores for the year 2010-2011 in a country where the Government has officially declared that 400 million of its citizens are living below poverty line is , thus an insult to the dignity of the Peoples of India. The project headed by a person of the rank of the Union Cabinet Minister, whose appointment was not transparent and a staff overhead of more than 100 is also working under the most non-transparent processes and we fear that the decisions are made and influenced by vested private and corporate interests who have had a record of anti-people and anti-democratic activities. There is no wide public discussion on the feasibility or desirability of the project.

It is in this context that we have serious objections to the way the decadal census process is being used to pitch the UID process and no discussion on this has happened in any of the democratic forums including the Parliament, which also transgresses n the right to dignity and privacy of individuals and their choice to opt out of the UID process. If the UID continues to be tagged with the Census process – we would also consider boycotting the same. It is a matter of great concern that the powers that be have deliberately kept silent on the inter linkage between the UID and current mode of census
In this situation it is not clear which decisions are being made by the private sector or by the elected representatives. There are proposals within this project that will result in changes to the PDS, food subsidy, MGNREGS etc are being put forward by the Planning commission and UIDAI. They suggest that instead of food grains, cash subsidies must be given to beneficiaries which can be encashed at public or private sector shops.

In the past the changes in policy were achieved through influence and lobbying, but now entrepreneurs have been appointed as non-politicians with cabinet rank. While the project was hailed as a “gamechanger” and a welfare measure, the public at large have expressed growing concerns about the UID and its implications for ordinary citizens. Many questions are being raised about the nature, status and aims of the scheme. Countries such as the UK, Australia and the USA have found similar measures unworkable due to the serious probability of abuse and the strong opposition of the public. There is a huge expenditure proposed for the UID. The UID would affect every citizen. We as groups and individuals feel the need to engage the larger public in an open discussion about the UID and its proposed scope, implementation, benefits and risks. We are also mobilising public opinion on issues and concerns about the UID.
We the undersigned demand that

Behind France's Islamic veil

France is one of several European countries considering a ban on the Islamic veil, and some restrictions on the niqab could become law within weeks. Claire Bolderson reports on how the debate plays into a broader struggle over French identity.

Kenza Drider in Avignon
Kenza Drider has been wearing the veil in public for more than a decade

In a small park at the back of a housing estate in Avignon, Kenza Drider, 31, races around a scruffy tennis court giggling and shouting encouragement to her opponent as she swings her racket at the ball.

It is just a knock-about game and would be unremarkable, except that Kenza Drider is a very unusual sight.

Her plain blue dress reaches to the ground. On top of it, covering her hair and shoulders, is a voluminous, long grey shawl.

And, most striking of all, over her face she wears a piece of black cloth - a niqab - that conceals everything except her deep brown eyes.

To me, the full veil, the covered face, it's a woman in a portable coffin
Andre Gerin
Communist MP

Mrs Drider, born in France to Moroccan immigrant parents, is one of the few Muslim women in France who wear the niqab. The official count puts the number at no more than 2,000 in a Muslim population of well over five million.

But over the past year, they have become the focus of an intense debate about Muslim integration and what it means to be French.

A parliamentary commission has recommended that all face coverings be banned when people are using public services like welfare offices, hospitals and transport, though not in the street.

And although the government has been advised that a full ban might not be legal, it is planning to go ahead with legislation that would impose restrictions on the niqab within weeks.

'Portable coffin'

"Why should we find ourselves returning to medieval traditions?" asks Andre Gerin, the Communist member of parliament who chaired the parliamentary commission.

It's not that they [foreigners] don't want to integrate, it's that the state doesn't want to integrate them
Kenza Drider
French Muslim who wears the veil

"To me, the full veil, the covered face, it's a woman in a portable coffin."

It was Mr Gerin who first started speaking openly about banning the veil when, as mayor of a suburb of Lyon, he says he noticed more and more women wearing it.

And he is convinced they are doing it at the behest of what he calls fundamentalists.

"These women are controlled," the MP says.

Kenza Drider scoffs at any such notion.

Relaxing on a bench in the park in Avignon, the mother of four young children explains how she bought her niqab nearly 11 years ago and did not tell her husband until she put it on to go out shopping with him one day.

"He knew very well it wasn't up to him whether I went out like that," she says, recalling that he merely said "OK, let's go", and she has worn the niqab ever since.

And she says that for women who wear the niqab in France, the majority of them French-born and many of them converts to Islam, "it's a personal decision, it's their freedom" to do as they wish.

Secular tradition

But the arguments against the niqab are not just based on feminism and the status of women.

Elizabeth Badinter (recent image)
She who hides her face is in a position superior to mine - she sees me but she refuses to reciprocate
Elizabeth Badinter
Feminist campaigner

The niqab, says leading feminist philosopher Elizabeth Badinter "is totally contrary to the three principles of the French Republic".

Those principles - liberty, equality, fraternity - can be seen written or carved on the front of every French town hall.

By hiding your face, Mrs Badinter explains as she sips a small black coffee in her elegant apartment in Paris, you breach the principle of equality.

"She who hides her face is in a position superior to mine," she says. "She sees me but she refuses to reciprocate."

Then there is the strongly guarded idea of secularism in France, the absolute separation of religion and the state rooted in the 1789 revolution and enshrined in a century-old law.

"You can have whatever religion you wish," says Mrs Badinter, "but it stays in the private sphere."

The problem is that some French Muslims see that not only as a way of dismissing their religion but also of ignoring their presence in France.

'Freedom of conscience'

The city suburbs with high populations of Muslims of North African descent have unemployment rates far above the national average. Educational achievement is generally lower in those areas and poverty is a real problem.

For the foreigners who come to France, according to Kenza Drider, "it's not that they don't want to integrate, it's that the state doesn't want to integrate them - there's a big difference".

She, like many Muslims, accuses the government of failing to address the social and economic problems the newcomers face.

And she has a message for the members of parliament who want to stop her wearing her veil in certain public places. She will not comply.

"The MPs who talk about liberty, equality and fraternity don't really understand the French Republic," she says back at her apartment in Avignon where, with only family and other women present, she removes the niqab and sets about making dinner for her children.

"Liberty means freedom of conscience, of expression," she says. "Equality means not judging the foreigner and fraternity means the support of French people for a French citizen."

Her words are a sign of the growing challenge to the long established values and principles of France as more and more Muslims put down roots in the country. The niqab is only the visible indication of a struggle to define what it means to be French.

How Some Non Muslims View Muslim Practices

How Some Non Muslims View Muslim Practices

A Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith

But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist!

A nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God, right?

But, then, if a daughter of Muslim-Ummah does the same, why is she oppressed?

When a western woman stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected by the entire society because of sacrificing her life to her house

But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"!

Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?

But when a Muslim Girl/Lady wears Hijab, they prevent her from entering the university!

When a child dedicates himself to a subject, he has potential and talent..

But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless!

WHY?

When a Jew kills someone, religion is not mentioned,

But when a Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial!

When someone sacrifices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and everyone respects him.

But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated --- He gets the title of 'terrorist'! Why? Because he is a "Muslim"!

When there is trouble, we accept any solution available, right?

However, if the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it.

When someone drives a perfect car in an improper manner, no one blames the car....

But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner - people say "Islam is the reason"!

Without giving a glance at Islamic laws, people believe what the newspapers say.

But question what the Holy QURAN says!

Almighty Allah Says in the Quran, Sura Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #145
(1) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I find not in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maitah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork); for that surely is impure or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols, or on which Allah's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But whosoever is forced by necessity without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits; (for him) certainly, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #145)

"Nor do I absolve my own self (of blame): the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord  bestows His Mercy: but surely my Lord is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful."

[Yusuf 12:53]

Hadith of the Guarantee

Hadith of the Guarantee
by Shaykh Abdur-Razzaq bin Abdul-Muhsin Al-Abbaad حفظهما الله
on Saturday, April 8th, 2006

The Shaykh is the son of al-Allaamah, al-Muhaddith Shaykh Abdul Muhsin al-Abbaad, may Allaah preserve and bless them both. He is a professor at the Islaamic University in Madinah. He gives duroos at the Prophet's صلى الله عليه و سلم masjid and he is very active in Da'wah. May Allaah سبحانه و تعالى reward him for making himself available for us regardless of his busy schedule. We thank him for that and ask Allaah سبحانه و تعالى to bless him tremendously.

The Shaykh began with Khutbatul Haajah, then he asked Allaah سبحانه و تعالى to guide us to the right path and that He makes our actions and our statements correct. He made other du'aa after that, thanking Allaah and then he said he would like to thank all of those who were the reason/cause, after Allaah سبحانه و تعالى for this meeting today, he is our brother Zaahid, may Allaah سبحانه و تعالى reward him and make him from amongst the keys to goodness, and benefit him with these actions and striving that he is doing to make these talks happen. Then inshaa Allaah we will enter into our talk.

The Shaykh حفظه الله then proceeded by saying:

Introduction

Today's talk will be about a word which is very famous amongst the people. The people have given it much concern. This is the word known as a Guarantee (ضمان – to guarantee something). We all know that a guarantee has a great status amongst the people. They use it in their buying, selling and in general in all of their business. When you find a product that is guaranteed, you find that the people want to buy this product. They are more interested in buying this product than one that does not have a guarantee. The one who is going to buy something first asks if there is a guarantee on the product, how long is the guarantee, who is the one who is guaranteeing the product? These are the types of questions that the people may ask when they go to buy something. This is especially when the one who is giving the guarantee is known for his truthfulness and he is known to fulfil his promise if he guarantees his products that he is selling. So, what I want you to pay attention to is these three things:

  1. When buying something the person looks for the product that has a guarantee.
  2. He looks at the individual who is offering the guarantee.
  3. He looks at what he has to do in order to obtain the guarantee – how much money he has to pay etc.
If the guarantee can be acquired with only a few easy things then this is one of the things that make the guarantee that much better.

A Blessed Guarantee

We will now enter into a discussion about a blessed guarantee – a guarantee which has very great significance. It is a guarantee that unfortunately many of us have not been concerned with, even though we have a great concern and care about the guarantees as they relate to trade and business transactions in worldly affairs.

This guarantee today inshaa Allaah, that we are going to live by (implement in our lives), is one guaranteed by the Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم, who did not speak of his own desires rather it is only revelation that has been revealed to him and he صلى الله عليه و سلم is the one who is truthful and the one who is believed.

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى
Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only a Revelation revealed. [An-Najm 53:3-4]

The reward of this guarantee is the Jannah of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى, which its width is like that of the Heavens and the Earth, in which there is what no eyes have seen and what no ears have heard and what has never crossed the hearts of mankind.

The things with which this guarantee is acquired are extremely easy things for one to do; it does not require much effort from the servant. The text of this guarantee will follow:

Hadith of the Guarantee

The text of this guarantee is mentioned in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad and declared to be Hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani رحمه الله in Saheeh al-Jaami'[1]. It is narrated on the authority of Ubaadah ibn Saamit رضى الله عنه who said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said: Guarantee for me six things from yourself and I will guarantee for you the Jannah:

  1. Tell the truth when you speak
  2. Keep a promise when you make it
  3. When entrusted fulfill the trust
  4. Protect you private parts
  5. Lower your gaze
  6. Guard your hand (from hitting people)

Notice, the guarantee is based on another guarantee. The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said "you guarantee me six things, I will guarantee for you the Jannah". These six things are very easy and are from the doors of goodness that are lightweight i.e. they do not require from the servant too much action or stress. Whoever does them in his life and he protects them, then when he dies Jannah will be guaranteed for him and the path to it will be emphasized and easy.

Some du'aa's and remedies !

Some du'aa's and remedies for one who suffers from pain in his body

If you bear it with patience and seek reward, Allaah will make your sickness an expiation for your sins.

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No tiredness, exhaustion, worry, grief, distress or harm befalls a believer in this world, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allaah expiates some of his sins thereby."

  Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5318 and Muslim, 2573.

some remedies and du'aa's that are prescribed in sharee'ah.Remedies include the following:

1 ." Honey. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)." There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think"

    [al-Nahl 16:69]

2 " Indian aloes wood (al-'ood al-hindi).

It was narrated that Umm Qays bint Muhsin said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: "You should use Indian aloes wood for in it are seven cures."

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5368; Muslim, 287.

3." Cupping

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbaas that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was treated with cupping when he was in a state of ihraam on his head for a migraine that he was suffering.

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5374; Muslim, 1202.

Al-Bukhari included it in a chapter which he called: Chapter on cupping for migraines and headaches.

4 " Black seed

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "In the black seed is healing for every disease except death."

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5364; Muslim, 2215.

some du'aa's from the saheeh Sunnah:

    1. " It was narrated from 'Uthmaan ibn Abi'l-'Aas that he complained to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about a pain in his body that he had suffered from the time he became Muslim. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him: "Put your hand on the part of the body that hurts and say Bismillaah (in the name of Allaah) three times. And say seven times: A'oodhu Billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri
ma ajid wa uhaadhir (I seek refuge in Allaah and His power from the evil of what I feel and worry about)."

    Narrated by Muslim, 2202.

2." It was narrated from 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to a sick person or a sick person was brought to him, he would say: "Adhhib al-ba's Rabb an-naas, wa'shfi anta
al-Shaafi, laa shifaa'a illa shifaa'uka shifaa'an laa yughaadir saqaman (Take away the pain, O Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for You are the Healer, and there is no healing but Your healing that
leaves no trace of sickness)."

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5351, Muslim, 2191.

You should also recite al-Faatihah and
al-Mu'awwidhaat, and in the whole Qur'aan there is healing, as Allaah says(interpretation of the meaning):

"And We send down of the Qur'aan that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) nothing but loss"

    [al-Isra' 17:82]

3." It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) that some of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to one of the Arab tribes.
They asked them for hospitality but they refused to welcome them. Whilst they were like that, the chief of that tribe was stung. They said: 'Do you have any remedy or someone who can recite ruqyah?' They said: 'You did not offer us hospitality, so we will not do anything until you give us something in return.' Then they agreed upon a flock of sheep. Then he started to recite the Essence of the Qur'aan " i.e.,
Soorat al-Faatihah " and he collected his saliva and spat at him (at the site of the injury), and he recovered. The sheep were brought and they (the companions) said: We will not take them until we ask the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). So they asked him and he smiled and said: "How did you know that it is a ruqyah? Take them and give me a share of them."

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5404; Muslim, 2201.

4." It was narrated from 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to recite al-mu'aawidhaat and blow over himself during his final illness, and when he became too ill (to do that), I used to recite them and blow over him and wipe his hand on him for blessing.

Mu'ammar said: I asked al-Zuhri how he used to blow and he said:
He used to blow on his hands then wipe his face with them.

    Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5403; Muslim, 2192.

    And Allaah knows best.

Don't get divided among yourself

For the sake of God don't enter into any controversy about our religion,
Islam which has already been exploited to the fullest extent through
various deviations, extremism, Shirk, Bidah, sectarianism, Maslak and
Fiqah diferrences, religious groupings and parties, Talibanism, Pirs,
Faqirs, Un Islamic culture, customs and practices etc. creating
dissension in our society so much so that Masajids are also divided on
sectarian and Maslak and party basis. Instead of promoting unity the
Muslims are fighting each other. This situation is exploited by the
anti Islamic elements and they are sending hate mails against Islam.
The best thing is to read the translation of Quran with the
explanation/tafseer given and follow the directives of Allah in letter
and spirit. All Hadiths which are in conformity with the Quran should be
followed. None can change the words of Allah (18:27) as Islam is a
complete religion for the whole mankind (5:3). There are already
thousands of books and literature on Islam along with hundreds of web
sites projecting Islam according to their research and thinking creating
confusion and deviations in the society and several people have
adopted projecting Islam as a hobby instead of doing some community work
in the name of Allah and they send e.mails to others whether you like it
or not and such excessive e.mails raising unnecessary controversy
are ultimately sent to junk. Hence please save Islam from further
exploitation and confine your selves to read the translation of Quran
along with authentic Hadith and practice the directives as we are all
responsible individually to Allah wether we followed Quran or not. And
avoid all sort of sins and evils, Satanic misguidance etc. Thanks.

Famous Pizza Outlets viz. Dominos and Pizza Hut in India are serving
Pork Pizza (named as pepperoni pizza ). Many Muslim think that this is beed pepperoni but their website as well as restaurant menu clearly states that this is Pork(100%)

I urge people not to eat at these outlets as your pizza would be baked in the same oven or may be in the same pan in which a Pork Pizza was baked before.

I know most of you guys might be aware of this and might be avoiding it as well but would you prefer to eat a pizza baked in a same pan which is used to bake PORK Pizza. .

Please check
http://www.pizzahut.co.in and http://www.dominos.co.in/  to see it for yourself .

Please pass this message on to other Muslims and spread the message.

But whosoever is forced by necessity without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits; (for him) certainly, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
(  سورة الأنعام  , Al-Anaam, Chapter
#6, Verse #145)
